Ms. to Mrs.

I am officially Mrs. Guerrero! I love being married, it's so great! I remembered how everyone told me the day would seem like a blur. So I tried to savor every moment. I have the best husband! He's so thoughtful, caring and encouraging...I can see how God is continuing to make him the man he's supposed to be. I am so blessed! :)

Here are some pictures of our wonderful day!
Me and my husband right after the ceremony. We left the church while all our guests held sparklers! It was awesome

Our ceremony. From left to right...My niece and cutest flower girl Madison, my friend Jen, my best friend who I've known forever Cara, my sister Tara and my sister and matron of honor Natalie, Me, our pastor Kelly, Mike, his cousin and best man BJ, friend Ben, cousin Rich, cousin Stan and our adopted nephew Presley.

Me and Dad right before walking down the aisle. He is such a great dad! He was trying to hold it all together

Wow what a great day!

We left a day after our wedding and went to Las Vegas and Lake Havasu. Here are a few pictures from our great honeymoon!

Our first night in Vegas we were walking the strip and Mike bought me the biggest drink I've ever seen. This purple tube is 100oz. No I didn't drink it all...I didn't even get through half of it...It was funny walking around with this on my shoulder! I got some crazy looks! :) haha

The Elvis's
Me and my husband ( I love saying that!) on our way to dinner
The executive chef from the Country Club where we work used to live in Vegas. His good friend works at this restaurant in the MGM. We got a reservation, walked up and Mike told them our name. They greeted us and the hostess looked at the other girl and whispered "they're VIP". It was so cool and we felt so special. We get seated, I ordered a glass of wine and Mike a mixed drink. Then a few minutes later our waitress brought over a glass of champagne for each of us on the house. We really felt special now...but wait it gets better. We went ahead and ordered. I got an organic Salmon and Mike ordered Seabass.
We were enjoying some conversation and our waitress brought over 2 appetizer dishes. One was 3 matsa balls with marinara sauce and the other was chopped mushrooms and other stuff wrapped in thin strips of sirloin topped with Parmesan cheese. It was so good! Then we got another appetizer...potatoes with crab and lobster. Wow we were both getting full.
Our meals came and I could hardly eat half of it!
But I did look at a dessert menu but everything was between 10-15 dollars and I really only wanted a small bite of something...so we passed on the dessert. Again, a few minutes later our waitress brought over a dessert plate for both of us. They were small shot glasses filled with espresso and vanilla gelato on top. It tasted just like a coffee shake! It was great. On the side was a small little cup of chocolate with sea salted caramel. Wow it was perfect!
We certainly did get the royal treatment! :)
Then we headed to Lake Havasu
There was an old car show going on so we walked the streets and enjoyed all the neat car. This was Mike's favorite
I liked the little green one
We rented a wave runner and cruised the lake. This was so much fun!

I will never forget these past few weeks! What an amazing journey it's been and I can't wait for our future together! :)

Right on time

The first official day of Fall is September 21st. Here in Colorado we know that without a doubt. Summer has been kinda rainy but mostly sunny and beautiful as Colorado summers are. But as Fall comes, the weather sure didn't take long to change. Yesterday was dreary and cold. I walked out of Walmart about 11am and WOW, it was actually snowing! Today no snow but it sure was cold with a high of 44 degrees!

A picture of Pikes Peak already covered in snow!

I went hiking the other day through Palmer Park and another sign that Fall is here...

The leaves are already changing!

For work I organized an Indoor Rock Climbing event for the members at the Country Club. I went with one of the servers and we were the only two that showed up. Neither of us had ever been to this place before so the lady at the desk told us we could just boulder if we wanted to so we agreed and walked into the facility. We stopped and looked at each other and asked "do you know what bouldering means?" Lol it was funny, we had to walk back to the desk and ask the lady! Apparently "bouldering" is when you don't use ropes or a ballot. So we went and watched a few other people climb to get the idea of what we were supposed to do. Everyone had chalk bags they were using so I walked over to a little boy with one and got chalked up, Vickie followed. He gave us a weird look and took the bag away. I didn't really think anything of it so we started climbing. After a little bit I needed more chalk, so I went to the front desk again and asked the lady if they had chalk bags back behind the desk or if we could use the bags out there...she told me that all the bags out there belong to those people, they bring them each time...Whoops! Now I know why that boy looked at us like that...we used his chalk! We went and told him we were sorry, we had never been here before and he was okay with it. What an experience!

Even though no one else came we had a blast! I have only rock climbed once before when I was in high school. It was pretty tough and after 40 minutes my arms were already sore.

Here I am climbing away! :)

Oh yeah...only 26 days until Mike and I are married! :) YAY!!!!!

She had no idea I was coming and it was so great to finally see all of them. I had such a great time and wish it could have been longer.

Hi everyone! I can't believe it...there are only 155 days until I'm a married woman! :) It seems just like yesterday that Mike proposed. It's already been 5 months! Crazy! (if you haven't noticed, I really like using the exclamation point!) LOL. Wedding plans are going well. Mike and I are ahead of the game which makes it all less stressful. I've had a fun time planning everything and find that I really enjoy it. We have our Church, Reception Site, Photographer, DJ, Cake, My gown, and some other small details nailed down. Well, just wanted to fill you all in. Hope you are all well and can't wait to see you in October!

Living in the 50's

This year is the Country Club's 55th year anniversary. So in celebration we had a sock-hop! It was lots of fun. Almost every member dressed up and all the staff dressed up so it was great. Here are a few pictures of our night!

Arizona Blisters

Mike and I drove down to Arizona on Thursday Jan 15th to go see my mom and run in the half marathon. Tara and AJ drove out too! I was so glad to see them!!

The day before the half marathon we went to the expo where we got our official race numbers and time keepers. We each found a shirt that fit us best...here is a picture.
Mine says "Will Run for Chocolate". Karen's says "This seemed like a good idea 3 months ago".
Mom's says "Will Run for Wine". We didn't end up buying these shirts because they were kinda pricy. That night mom had a few friends over and we ate pasta so we could carb load before our big day.
The Big Day...The marathon started Jan. 18th at about 8:30 am. The corral my mom, her friends and I were in was 24. We didn't start until about 9:15 am. The start of the race was smooth and easy. We were all full of energy. I broke from the pac about mile 2 to 3 but then they caught up to me at 3. Mom and I started jogging to mile 4 and I kept going on to mile 5 as she walked. Miles 5-9 were good for me as I kept my pace walking/jogging. At mile 9 Tara, Mike and AJ met me. They got a pic and then I kept going. It was nice to have them there for the support, especially that late in the race! The course began up hill at mile 9-1o. Then, my feet started to feel the brunt of the race at miles 11-12. But I kept going and by mile 12 1/2 to the finish line I got another boost of energy. Mike, Tara and AJ were at the finish line as well! I crossed the line and waited for mom. She was only about 10 minutes behind me. We both did a lot better than we thought. I am so proud of my mom for completing the race! It was lots of fun to be able to experience this with my mom. Rock'nRoll Half Marathon 2010 here we come! :)
